Summer Event Series

This summer we are offering a wide variety of events for individuals and families. Whether you like yoga, art, biking, fishing, gardening, birds, stories and crafts, bees, movies, lectures, we have the activity for you!

Presentations in the Park

We are hosting a variety of speakers throughout the summer on our back patio! Please bring your own chairs or blankets and arrive early to get some dinner from a local food truck and drinks from Delta Beer Lab. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10/person. Preregistration and walk ups are both welcome!

Movies in the Park

We are offering three family-friendly outdoor movies. Please bring your own chairs or blankets and arrive early to get some snacks and beverages from Karben4 Brewing (10% of sales donated to our youth programs). Movies are free with a suggested donation of $5/person and preregistration is encouraged but not required.

Art in the Park

Join us for Art in the Park - no artistic talent needed, just the desire to have fun! Artists from Wine & Design will take the time to guide you step by step to complete your very own take home masterpiece. All canvases come pre-traced by the artist instructor. Cost is $42/person and the class runs for 2 hours.

Yoga in the Park

Wishing Tree Studio instructors are excited to once again offer yoga in the park! These 60-minute classes are suitable for all skill levels and a great way for families to practice together in this lovely space, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. We’ll move and breathe together and we’ll be sure to offer something for everyone. Please bring your own yoga mat.  Blocks and other props are optional, so please bring whatever makes you comfortable and enhances your practice.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.  Find sessions and register on our event calendar.

Outdoor Story Time

Join us every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. under the Heritage Oak tree for a story and activity!  This will be a free event and there is no need to register in advance. Select Tuesdays will feature a story in Spanish.  Find sessions and more information on our event calendar.

Youth Adventure Programs

The Lussier Family Heritage Center is hosting summer youth adventure programs to help kids explore our parks and try out outdoor recreation activities. Youth can go on a Fishing Adventure at the Jenni & Kyle Preserve or on a Bike Adventure through William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park on the Lower Yahara River Trail. Learn more about these programs on our Youth Adventure Programs webpage. Do you have a large youth group? Many of these are offered as group field trips as well.
