Volunteer Program

The Lussier Family Heritage Center volunteer program is done in partnership with Dane County Parks and the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area. William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park and Capital Springs Recreation Area make up the largest continuous section of parkland in Dane County.  The Lussier Family Heritage Center is nestled between two of the magnificent Dane County bike trails, the Capital City State Trail and the Lower Yahara River Trail.  The Lussier Family Heritage Center aims to connect our community to our natural resources through education, recreation, and experiences.

Our Mission
Lussier Family Heritage Center is a multi-use, educational & interpretive facility serving a diverse population that provides opportunities for youth & adult learning, volunteerism, outdoor recreation and special events.
