Nature Journaling Workshop
Event Dates
- Sunday, 11/02/2025 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Event Description
Learn to use a nature journal to connect with plants, animals, landscape, and yourself. We will practice letting go of details and focus on capturing forms and flow with quick sketching, adding basic color, and taking notes that put our experience of the moment on the page. We will begin the workshop with an interpretative hike throughout the park to inspire our journaling. While we will answer some botanical and ecological questions, the main focus will be to center and commemorate the experience in your journal. Nature journaling will be led by local artist Sonya Sankaran.
Parts of this class will take place outdoors; please dress for the weather.
