Need a New Year’s Resolution? Sign up for our Parks Challenge to explore all 25 Recreation Parks in the Dane County Park System in 2024, gain access to special events, get free passes to programs and activities, and earn a Challenge t-shirt. After registering and paying a $50 registration fee, we will challenge you to record each of your experiences at the parks with our digital journal (paper provided upon request). If you complete the journal by December 31st, 2024 and return it to heritagecenter@danecounty.gov you will earn a special Dane County Parks Challenge T-shirt!
Each season we will provide an event that is only open to registered challenge participants. The exact dates for these are still to be determined:
Registered participants will also receive three complementary passes to attend one of our Lussier Family Heritage Events. Upcoming events can be found on our event calendar. Registration is required to use free pass. Register for a "Challenge Event" by filling out this Google Form.
The cost to participate in the Parks Challenge is $50 per person. Registration for the 2024 challenge closes March 31st, 2024. Once registered, we will provide a bimonthly email to highlight parks you may want to explore and upcoming events. Sign up today and challenge yourself to explore Dane County Parks in 2024!
A full list of Dane County Recreation Parks will also be sent to you once you register. The list is also available on the Dane County Parks website and includes a link to each park property webpage where you can find trail maps, restroom information, addresses, photos and more.
Please fill out this Google Form with your name, number of tickets you want to use (receive 3 passes with registration), and event name and date. Within 5 days you will be registered and receive a receipt. Your account will not be charged.
If you would like to complete the challenge as a group, we encourage you to do so! You will only receive the one hard copy of the journal, three complementary passes, and one t-shirt for each registration. For challenge participant only events, you may pay $5 per person to bring additional individuals along, if space/equipment is available.
There is no age limit to participate!
